Synopsis

Set over 24 hours in New York City, Heights is the story of Isabel, (Elizabeth Banks) a young photojournalist who is engaged to be married to Jonathan (James Marsden) in a month. Struggling with her career, Isabel works photographing weddings. Her mother Diana (Glenn Close), a free-spirited Oscar-winning actress, has anxiety about Isabel's upcoming wedding, and mother and daughter come to blows. Alec (Jesse Bradford) is a young actor who auditions for Diana, and immediately attracts Diana's largely unwelcome romantic attentions. Meanwhile, Peter (John Light), a journalist, works on a feature for a major magazine about the renowned photographer Benjamin Stone, whose photos and life are rooted in a scandal that may be related to Isabel and Jonathan's past.
